John recently received management training on the topic of “Change Management”. The course was offered through the Harvard Business Review. Some of the topics that John brushed up on include the dimensions of change, implementing change, and communicating change.
John learned that successful managers of change have the following attributes:Â They are accepted by others as trustworthy and competent; they have a big-picture perspective – understanding the business impacts and long term benefit; their vision for change is compelling and clear; they can articulate the the change is and why it is necessary; they can see opportunities and diagnose problems from their audience’s perspective.
