Besides being a terrible user experience, many programs do not work well with Windows UAC feature.
To disable the User Account Control (UAC) feature on a Windows Vista computer..
1. Launch MSCONFIG from the Run menu.
2. Click on the Tools tab.
2. Click on the Tools tab.
3. Click on the line labeled “Disable UAP”
3. Press the Launch button.
4. A command window will open. When the command is done, just close the window.
5. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.

Note that you can re-enable UAC by selecting the “Enable UAP” line and then clicking on the Launch button.
